Product Description Epicatechin is a type of flavonoid which is mainly found in green tea (Camellia sinensis) and dark chocolate.  The main catechins present are epicatechin, and epigallocatechin. Their pharmacological effects are anti-hyperlipidaemic, anti-inflammatory, antioxidative, anticarcinogenic, and cytoprotective. Epigallocatechin (EGC) is the most abundant, potent polyphenol and is responsible for most of the therapeutic benefits (either clinical, animal or cell culture studies) of Spondias mombin.
